Makeup can help us in many ways. It helps us feel good about myself, hide my flaws and highlight our facial assets. With the right amount of makeup, it can make us look younger. I believe that everyone can do this. Last April 5, Monday, I had the opportunity to have a makeup live session with Miss Lucette of Rizal Events Suppliers Association through Facebook live. Sharing with you my before and after video of the session.
As we grow older, our skin drops and wrinkles are more obvious. As a makeup artist, skincare is very important in creating a luminous and plump skin. Serums, moisturizers, eye creams, and lip moisturizers help us create a perfect base before makeup application. As a 37-year-old mom, I would like to be looked at as a younger mom than my actual age. With the right amount of makeup, I can definitely achieve this.
For the foundations and concealers, it should only be a pea-sized amount. Yes, that small. The more product you put, the more chances it will break and cake. Especially during the peak summer heat here in the Philippines. The number one enemy of any makeup, especially foundation and concealer, is humidity. Setting the under-eye and laugh line will also help set that makeup too. Still, not too much.
Highlighting is very significant in any look that I do. Other than drawing attention to the highest point of my face, it also gives me and my clients a younger-looking skin. Setting my cream with a powder highlighter is my usual approach to finishing this look too.
Brushed feathered brows are my go-to look. It gives a subtle version of my brow hair that just reaches up over my natural brow arch. I remember having my brows darker that my children called me Angry Birds!
For my eyes, I prefer to use eyeshadow sticks. The cream type shadows tends to stay on me longer. I've tried wearing it while swimming and even jogged for an hour, it didn't budge! From that moment, I decided to keep those sticks inside my professional makeup kit. I'm also picky with eyeliners. From drugstores to high-end ones, I've tried them all. If you're looking for a reliable eyeliner, choose a waterproof one. This won't give you the panda eyes that everyone is scared to have.
I always base my blush and lips on my outfit. If I'm wearing a red top, I usually choose a warmer shade, like peach or rose pink for my blush and lips. This will give a cohesive look not just on my face but with the whole package. And the best part is the whole look makes it look expensive.
Learning makeup is not a complex idea. I've created a one-on-one makeup class online to help anyone who struggles with makeup do this in a breeze. To learn more about this class, just click the link here > https://www.eunicesevalla.com/bookings-checkout/online-makeup-class.

Your makeup shouldn’t be expensive. Be creative! Enjoy discovering different looks. Whatever products you have now, try to make other use for it. Just like me, whenever I need less that 5 minutes to fix myself, I just use my lipstick as my eyeshadow and blush then I'm ready to go. Remember, makeup doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. Enjoy being your own makeup artist.
